About me
I'm ready.
I was able to raise my kids with an education and background in School Counseling and childhood development, allowing me to not take it personally(ish). Let me help you get the inside view on this time, and work with your child to achieve more success operationally inside and outside of your family! But don't just listen to my banter, see my qualifications below and the check out the services that fit you.

What am I brining to the table?

In 2020, the year of the collective human breakdown, Free Spirit Publishing made my dream come true and honored me with an offer to publish a book on trauma response in youth! Here, I cover trauma sources of youth trauma, tips for understanding the youth trauma response, and provide a framework of tasks for schools and organizations to follow for a prepared response.
I spent 12 years in School Counseling in the public school system, and enjoyed very much my time with students and families. I have a Master's in School Counseling from ODU '12 and am completing additional coursework to practice therapeutic services in the community. Over this time, I mentored other counselors, continued education, and even was one of the Top 5 Teachers of the Year for my large division! I advocated, I built relationships, I listened. I will bring all of these experiences to meet with you and your child in the way YOU feel is most helpful and in a way that will allow your teen to feel heard. Over the years I acted as a conduit for families to bridge the gap and allow a more peaceful relationship to return.
